The Waterpark Capital of the World

Imagine it is a very hot summer. You want to get away for a long weekend to relax and cool off, but where do you go? Wisconsin Dells! It is a short 3 ½ hours from Joliet and totally worth taking a drive.
Visiting the Dells is a great idea for the family. My family visits all the time and we still find new and fun activities. The summer is the best time to visit, because there are indoor and outdoor waterparks. There are so many options of places to stay but I highly recommend Great Wolf Lodge. There are three adjoining indoor waterparks and an outdoor waterpark. They also have a lazy river and multiple kiddie pools. When you book a room in this specific lodge, they include 4 waterpark passes that are valid the whole time you stay.
Take a look at this video to view just a few indoor waterparks http://www.flickr.com/photos/wisconsin-dells/5494567764/
While staying in the Dells there is a lot to do. My all-time favorite thing to do when I visit is go-cart. I love driving fast and having my hair blow crazy in the wind. A child must be 4 feet 8 inches tall to drive, however, if a child is not that tall they can be accompanied by an adult in a double seat go-cart.
There is one activity that can only be done in the Dells, and that would be taking an Original Duck Tour. These tours are given on vehicles that drive on land but also become a boat when they hit water. They were originally used in World War II. They travel through 8 ½ miles of breathtaking nature showing you the natural beauty that the Wisconsin Dells has. This was an amazing time, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever done before.
This is the perfect place to visit because it is not too far from home and there is so much to do and see! No matter the age of your children they will enjoy themselves! It is a vacation I would still enjoy going on today.
Have you visited somewhere amazing and want to share? Please do! I’d love to hear about your experiences and favorite places to visit!

One Love One Heart

Jamaica is known for their beautiful beaches and landscape. They are more importantly known for the music legend Bob Marley, Jamaican Rum and very welcoming people. Who wouldn’t want to visit this wonderful place?
My favorite part was when we went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We climbed Dunns River Falls, which is a 183 meter waterfall. There are people who videotape you and your family climbing the waterfall. It was so much fun watching the video when we returned home. It was a great life experience. While in Ocho Rios, visit the Dolphin Cove. Grab on to a dolphins fin, and let them take you for a ride around the cove. There is so much more for your family to do, such as horseback ride, visit museums or visit local craft markets. The markets have handmade pots, jewelry, artwork and more! I guarantee you won’t find anything like it in the United States.
There are multiple cities to visit in Jamaica including:
-Kingston known as the heartbeat of Jamaica, and also the capital.
-Montego Bay which is known as the complete resort.
-Ocho Rios the centerpiece of Jamaica.
-Negril is the capital of casual.
-Port Antonio is natural, and full of beautiful aspects of nature.
-South Coast is known to be off the beaten path.
I’ve only been to Ocho Rios, but I have heard great things about all these cities!
I recommend scuba diving or rafting in the gorgeous blue waters of the Caribbean; you can explore the exotic marine life!
To help plan your vacation, visit http://www.visitjamaica.com/ where you can book a flight and a hotel for the days you want to stay! Don’t like the sound of a hotel on your vacation? No big deal. You can stay in a villa or bed and breakfast to feel more at home. You can even rent a car online so it’s waiting for you when you arrive!

Everyone likes going on vacation and visiting new places! What is your favorite vacation spot?

The Happiest Place on Earth.

Take some time out of your busy life and visit the happiest place on Earth.

Disney World is not just meant for children. Adults are known to have the time of their lives, especially if they are a kid at heart. This trip tends to be a little costly, but it is a vacation no one in your family will forget. It is definitely worth the money in the long run.
There are multiple theme parks at Walt Disney World where there are endless activities for you and your family to experience. Some theme parks have rollercoasters which are amazing and fun! I am a huge fan of rollercoasters so I enjoyed the theme parks even more.
The main theme parks are as follows:
-Epcot
-Magic Kingdom
-Disney’s Animal Kingdom
-Disney’s Hollywood Studios
I recommend visiting SeaWorld to watch a dolphin or killer whale show.
At Epcot, there is a World Showcase, which shares with Guests the culture and cuisine of 11 countries: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. It’s amazing that you can visit one place, and get the feeling that you are visiting 11. Along with incredible food, Epcot has award winning fireworks that light up the night sky.
Magic Kingdom is any child’s dream. This is where all the beloved Disney princesses and characters walk around greeting people and signing autographs. Take a trip to snap a picture with Cinderella, Mickey Mouse or whoever is your child’s Disney role model. If you stay late enough, you can watch fireworks brighten the sky above Cinderella’s castle. There is an overwhelming magic in the air, this is where your dreams and your children’s dreams can all come true. Be sure to stop in the Mickey Mouse store and pick up some embroidered ears!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is the largest animal theme park in the world. It is home to more than 1,700 animals across 250 species. You can visit 7 different lands. They are the Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Asia and Dinoland. I have never seen so many different animals in one place. As an animal lover, this was a phenomenal experience.
You won’t run out of things to do in Disney World. Don’t you want to make all your dreams come true? If you do, pack up the family and fly to Orlando to see Walt Disney World. I guarantee you have not seen anything like it before.
Visit this website to help plan your whole trip, you won’t regret it!

Check in next week because I will be talking about traveling to the warm Caribbean island called Jamaica!
